HelloSamples Raw Series Vol.2 XBASE 09

HelloSamples Raw Series Vol.2 XBASE 09

HelloSamples Raw Series Vol.2 XBASE 09
Size 89 Mb

After the warm reception of our first installment in the analog percussion world (the acclaimed RAW Series Vol.1) we decided to make a library built on the same honorable principles -realism, dynamics and usability- but with a more agressive and punchy sound that complemented the organic, creamy and percussive nature of the previous collection.
Of all the drum machines in our arsenal we felt that the 09 was the box that best represented this idea, and thus our next victim was chosen!
The 09 is a 909 inspired drum machine with a twist. The great thing about it it’s that, although you can use it to emulate a convincing 909, it can also go WAY beyond it’s limits. The bass drum and snare circuits have much wider range and the sound is a bit more modern and over-the-top. It’s like a 909 on steroids! This is specially nice since you can end up with something that sounds “familiar” yet not dated like the overused original 909.
A clever way of sounding different.

Tech Specs

1000+ painstakingly handcut samples. About 220 different sounds (x 6 round robin hits), organized by type and descriptively labelled. (WAV and ABLETON versions)
45 ready to use Machine Group kits. (28 Kits & 17 Instruments)
31 ready to use MPC kits. (1000/2500) (23 Kits & 8 Instrument)
306 Ableton Live Instruments. Including advanced features like Reverb, Saturation, Delay, Freq Shifting, Bit reduction etc.. and an automatic Round Robin management. (Up to six round robin layers).
251 Ableton Sampler patches
7 Sampler XL Instruments
30 Drum Racks Kits
19 Impulse Kits
Everything was run through a Great River MP-500 NV (improved Neve 1073), UA6176 Pre Amp, short cables and, last but not least, mastering grade converters (Universal Audio 2192).

Mixing & Mastering Future Bass in FL Studio

Mixing and Mastering a Future Bass track can be extremely challenging for an untrained engineer or producer. Future Bass has several harmonically-rich sounds (like chord stacks layered or big leads) which resultantly overlap one another in the frequency spectrum. Ultimately, this makes the mixdown and mastering process a challenging experience.

In this course, Jay Eskar will showcase his methods for mixing anda mastering a Future Bass track in FL Studio. He will offer his in-depth knowledge on gain-staging, equalization, dynamics control, stereo imaging, and even show you to put together a master chain. By the end of this course, you will be significantly more comfortable with mixing and mastering Future Bass music.

Raw Vermona inaugurates a new concept in sample library development.
We have sampled a Vermona DRM1 Analog Drum in it’s pure rawness.
Most contemporary sample packs focus on highly undynamic samples. Audio-destructive processes like normalization and digital compression are the norm rather than the exception.
There is a loudness war going on in the sample world and everybody is on the same one-way-only train: my library has to sound louder than yours.
Here at HelloSamples we think the public (you) knows better, and that there should be a market for more dynamic sounding samplepacks.
That’s why we decided to start our “Raw” analog library series.

Tech Specs

1170+ painstakingly handcut samples. About 200 different sounds (x 6 round robin hits), organized by type and descriptively labelled. (WAV and ABLETON versions)

HelloSamples Sweet Chords Vol.1

HelloSamples Sweet Chords Vol.1

HelloSamples Sweet Chords Vol.1
Size 548 Mb

If you enjoy the sound of pure analog circuitry sweetened through juicy Moog filtering… If you like the bell-like tones of a fine-tuned Electric Piano playing jazzy and funky moods… And if you wouldn’t mind to have a bunch of nicely-cut dusty vinyl sounds as a bonus… this is definitely your library!

The magic lies in the methodology: we’ve connected the audio out of the Clavia -set to a Rhodes patch- into the Filter input of the Moog, while the Moog was controlling the Nord Stage 2 via MIDI. This way the keyboard player was able to “play a Rhodes through a MiniMoog” ie: play Rhodes sounds & Moog VCOs mixed together and then filtered by a stereo Moog Filter.

This library is a collaborative work with Hi.Mo and Arecio Smith who have accepted to shut themselves up in our studio with just a Clavia Nord Stage 2, a Moog Voyager and a bunch of classic studio effects!

Chords, riffs and stabs + a bunch of sonic experiments! Trust us, it sounds even better than it reads!

To put the icing on the cake we’ve passed those samples through several boutique FX boxes such as the Moog Murf -sequenced analog filter- the MoogerFooger MF104 -analog BBD delay- or the Roland Space Echo 201 -tape echo- giving this collection an special “underwater” sound.

The outcome is a collection of more than 1000 high quality chords and licks, neatly organized by mood.

But it doesn’t end here! As a bonus we’ve loaded our MPC with lots of vinyl-sampled chords and intervals we’ve pitched them up & down to later process them through the same effects as the EP2Moog library.

The result is “Well Dressed Vinyl”, more than 200 tastefully gathered dusty vinyl samples!

Tech Specs

1100+ Stereo WAV files at 16bit 44khz (400MB)

206 Chord Sampler Instruments
19 Polyphonic Toys

All files are organized and tagged with metadata compatible with Maschine. Also, clearly organized on the Ableton Live Pack.

Dance Music Production Sessions 06: EQ TUTORIAL

Dance Music Production Sessions 06: EQ TUTORIAL-SYNTHiC4TE

Dance Music Production Sessions 06: EQ TUTORIAL
Size 1.7 Gb

For Sessions 06 and due to popular request, we discuss and examine EQ in the detail you’ve come to expect from DMP.

With a focus on its use in the production of dance music we lift the lid on one of the most popular yet most mix destroying processors ever conceived…

EQ is one of the fundamental tools in music production and the main ingredient for producing a great final mix. However, it also happens to be one of the most misunderstood, misused, over used, under used, abused processors available.

On the surface EQ is little more than a tone control and at its simplest level it offers you the ability to either boost or cut a specific range of frequencies. However, whilst it doesn’t take an awful lot of research to learn what each parameter does and the effects it will impart on audio, this is very different from being able to use it with any real skill.

In this 3 hour tutorial we examine all the aspects of EQ. Starting with with an examination of the science of sound, fundamentals and harmonic generation we examine how our perception changes with volume and frequency and how this applies to EQ. We look at the bandwidth Q factor and why octaves are important.

We study the octave frequency range, the exponential nature of octaves and what this means for the application of EQ. We examine both IIR and FIR (minimal phase and linear phase) and how they are created. We also take a look at the response curves of musical and surgical EQ, shelving filters, overshoot, the Nyquist theorem and the problems of frequency cramping

But most important of all, we look at how all of this information can be combined to complete the image of EQ and how that’s used to create a mix with clarity and depth rather than create something that’s muddy and incoherent.

Swan Audio Vintage Waves For Serum

Swan Audio Vintage Waves For XFER RECORDS SERUM-DISCOVER

Swan Audio Vintage Waves For Serum
Size 80 Mb

Vintage Waves
‘Vintage Waves’ is a pack of 120 retro style sounds for Xfer Serum using Waves from vintage instruments such as Oberheim, Roland, Arp, and Moog and a few digital machines, alongside the excellent waveforms included with Serum.

I have used all of my experience with analogue synths to carefully set Serum to emulate the warmth of analogue gear, and I have been surprised by how good the results turned out…It may not be renown for its warmth, but this pack has tone and weight that might make you double-check that you are really playing Serum…

One of the reasons for this is the use of long samples from an Oberheim OB8, including 16 analogue oscillator unison samples loaded into Serum…This creates wavetables that feature real analogue movement such as detuning and pulse width modulation, which are then further manipulated and layered in Serum. This combination of analogue and digital technology results in some stunningly lush sounds….

…And it doesn’t end there. Alongside the analogue there is also a dash of vintage digital in the set to provide that digital sparkle and contrast to the warm analogue style sounds, sourced from some classic digital machines and the Serum library…
