Pulsar Audio Echorec v1.2.6 VST2 VST3 AAX [Windows]

Pulsar Audio Echorec v1.2.6 VST2 VST3 AAX [Windows]

The Pulsar Echorec is a software emulation of the iconic echo/delay unit of the same name produced by the Italian brand Binson in the 1960s.

The sound of this magnetic disk delay differs from the tape delays used at the time, and has largely contributed to the audio signature of many 70s bands: Pink Floyd, The Shadows, Jimmy Page etc.

The best software emulation of the Binson Echorec 2

Vintage Echorec devices are known for their saturation, self-oscillation, and oversound, all shaping the music produced in the 70s. They are also, however, known to be fragile and difficult to maintain.

The Pulsar Echorec plugin gives you a faithful emulation of this legendary echo unit; furthermore, many workflow improvements have been added to the original, such as the ability to change the motor speed (and so the delay time) in real time or to sync it to any tempo, including a tapped tempo.

Three different units, in different conditions, have also been precisely modeled, to have all sounds from the cleanest magnetic delay, to the most grunge.

These additions and the signature sound of the Binson Echorec 2 make this echo a must-have tool for any mixer who wants to add the subtle analog life, which is sorely lacking in digital delay plugins.

Zynaptiq WORMHOLE v1.1.2 VST2 VST3 AAX [WIN]

Zynaptiq WORMHOLE v1.1.2 VST2 VST3 AAX [WIN]

Zynaptiq WORMHOLE v1.1.2 VST2 VST3 AAX [WIN]

From beautifully shimmering detuned guitar widening and glassy ambient octave-shift tails, to surreal ambiences, starship drones, alien, monster, and robot voices — WORMHOLE is the new indispensable multi-effects powerhouse for sound designers, music producers and film composers alike. Combining ultra-clean pitch/frequency shifting, eccentric spectral warping, dual lush reverbs, and unique dry/wet morphing, WORMHOLE delivers sounds so unearthly you’ll swear they’re from a parallel universe.

The key WORMHOLE features at a glance:

  • High-quality multieffects processing ranging from the sublime to the extreme.
  • WARP spectral inversion & warping module.
  • SHIFT unique topology combined pitch-/frequency-shifting module with SMOOTH, TIGHT and two DETUNE modes.
  • Dual lush randomized hall reverbs.
  • Unique dry/wet morphing.
  • Very wide +- 4 octaves pitch-shift and +-4000Hz frequency shift range, fully aliasing free, with 96dB/oct (!!) carrier and side-band attenuation.

Powerhouse

WORMHOLE consists of 5 highly synergistic processing modules: the spectral WARP, the pitch/frequency SHIFT, the dual random modulated hall REVERB, a nifty little DELAY, and the dry/wet morphing FX BLEND sections. In combination with a flexible signal path, this makes WORMHOLE an ultra-fast and easy-to-use, high-end multieffects processor, that covers the full range from the subtle to the (very) extreme. Whether you’re a sound designer, music producer or ambient artist, WORMHOLE is for you.

So What Is This For?

While WORMHOLE excels at making the usually time-consuming workflows of creating high-quality Sci-Fi sounds and creature voices fast, easy, fun and extremely hi-fi, it actually covers a very broad range of applications – including musical sweetening and ambient effects from the grungy to the shimmering and lush, bread-and-butter mixing effects like creating suboctaves, widening, chorusing, filtering, harmonic shaping and reverberation, and some seriously psychedelic electronica colors and mangling effects. Here are some of the things WORMHOLE is great at.

Alien, Robot and Monster Voices & Space-Age Transmission FX

WORMHOLE is insanely good for making all sorts of creature and robotic voices, as well as making them sound like the gravitometric faster-than-light transceiver went out-of-range. The WARP and SHIFT sections provide the mangling, while the dry/wet morphing ensures intelligibility (even with extreme transformations) and serves to fine-tune the alienification amount – reigning even the strongest processing back in if so desired. Or use the morphing to gradually transition from clean to mutated in an otherwise impossible, cool way.

Surreal Soundscapes and SFX

With WORMHOLE, spaceship atmospheres and neutrino accelerator field fluctuation induced interference oscillations are unbelievably easy to make – and sound unbelievably good, too. Turn cute metal clangs into huge impacts of intergalactic proportions, aircondition rumble into ancient planetoid displacement machinery hum, and synthesizer waveforms into mutated cyborg production facility power plant drones. Then, animate the sound organically by moving the dry/wet morph and section dry/wet mixes just a little bit. Or go crazy and automate everything all over the place, of course.

Musical Effects – Shimmering, Ambient, Lush, Beautiful

Guitars, pianos, pads all love WORMHOLE. It does just that thing that you’d typically reach for your really awesome vintage rack multi-effects units for, and feed them back into each other through the console…if they weren’t out for service. Again. With unknown ETA due to the parts being unobtainium. And actually, WORMHOLE is the space-age version of that approach. No pitch-shifter induced disharmonic sidebands or graininess. Just pure, lushly blissfull glassy ambient fifths and octaves, micro-detuning shimmers, and more. Did we mention the dual, cascadable random modulated hall reverbs yet?

Pulsar Audio Mu v1.1.6 VST2 VST3 AAX [WIN]

Pulsar Audio Mu v1.1.6 VST2 VST3 AAX [WIN]

Pulsar Audio Mu v1.1.6 VST2 VST3 AAX [WIN]

Mu, the most faithful emulation of a modern yet legendary tube compressor/limiter – perfect glue for mixing and mastering.

An industry-standard tube compressor

There are several reasons to use a variable-bias tube compressor. One is the exceptional compression transparency that this kind of compressor can achieve, even when pushed into extreme gain reduction. Another – and perhaps the most common – is their ability to add cohesion or “glue” to buses, whole mixes and masters.

Unfortunately, the original hardware is expensive and difficult to integrate with “in-the-box” workflows. Software emulations exist but most owners of the hardware agree that they cannot be compared to the original unit, as there’s always “something” missing.

With its unique Topology Preservation Technology, Pulsar Mu sounds objectively identical to the hardware in every production context, and even makes improvements such as an increased signal-to-noise ratio.

Improving on a classic

Pulsar Mu is a stereo compressor operating in either Left/Right or Mid/Side modes, designed with mixing and mastering applications in mind, but also flexible enough for tracking. It can be used for levelling, limiting, or just to add a bit of analog warmth with its emulated tube signal path.

While reproducing the accurate SIFAM metering of the original unit, Pulsar Mu also provides a more modern visualization mode for fine-tuning compression settings, representing the waveform and gain reduction both over time and instantaneously.

Pulsar Mu also offers various options that apply to the sidechain signal. A popular mod of the original device was to add a high-pass filter, but Mu goes even further, offering a more complete equalization section, enabling to precisely adjust the compressor’s response to bass, midrange and treble using only four knobs.

Another addition is the possibility of advancing (look-ahead) or delaying (look-behind) the sidechain signal. This enables you to take ultimate control over transients, letting the compressor start to react before they happen, over even after they happen, opening up all kinds of creative uses.

Main Features

Topology Preservation Technology
Our modelling technology guarantees a perfect emulation of the original device’s behavior. From the saturation of the magnetic flux in the transformers, to the precise response of the tubes, to the effects of tiny calibration defects, everything is perfectly reproduced. For more info, take a look at our technical article on the subject.

External sidechain
Pulsar Mu allows to define an external sidechain input, as all compressors should in the digital age. This opens a very wide range of applications: ducking, de-essing, filtering the sidechain signal with your favourite EQ, or even applying dynamic processing.

Mid-Side processing
Pulsar Mu comes with built-in optional M/S encoding and decoding, enabling a signal’s mono and stereo information to be processed separately with different settings. The Listen buttons simplify the setting by allowing you to listen to Mid or Sides signals in isolation, and the modern visualization can be set to monitor only the channel you’re working on, so you always know what you’re doing.

Look ahead, look behind
This innovative feature lets you shift the timing of Pulsar Mu’s gain reduction compared to the input. Look-ahead enables the Mu to start reacting to transients even before they happen, ensuring perfect limiting. Conversely, the look-behind delays the gain reduction, so that fast transients can be left unprocessed while the gain reduction kicks in after them. This opens up various possibilities like clipping transients separately after Mu has done its work.

Flexible sidechain equalizer
The sidechain equalization section is simple but efficient. You can let your mix more transparent by preventing low frequencies from triggering compression with the High-Pass filter, adjust the response to vocals or other instruments thanks to the parametric bell filter, and keep the influence of the top-end under control with the positive or negative High-Shelf filter.

Low CPU consumption
We spent a ridiculous amount of time optimizing Mu to consume as few system resources as possible – despite the complex algorithms at work. Pulsar Mu takes full advantage of modern CPUs to do more with less. But if your computer can stand it and you enjoy making it suffer, you can always turn oversampling on, processing at rates up to 384kHz!

Musical Sampling Boutique Drums Penny KONTAKT

Boutique Drums Penny

Musical Sampling Boutique Drums Penny KONTAKT

Penny is the third release in our Boutique Drums Series and arguably the most vibey and versatile thus far.

We initially sought to create a kit that paid homage to the tighter rock drum mixes popularized in the 60’s and 70’s. We covered the toms and snare with cloth to dampen the decay/ring-out and incorporated some vintage mics used in that period alongside our modern array of microphones and gear.

After curating a kit with some beautiful and rare custom pieces, extensively sampling each drum, mixing the snot out of it and programming Penny to a tee – what we end up with is an instrument that suits far more musical contexts than we initially anticipated. Pretty cool stuff.

As per usual, we incorporated our repetition sampling techniques for realistic successive notes with the hi-hats and toms and six different hi-hat groove states that you can easily crossfade between for maximum expression.

What’s Included:

– Full drum kit curated by Brian Scoggin (Casting Crowns)
– Kick, snare, cross stick, ghost snare roll, rimshot, three toms, ride (with crash), ride bell, two crashes, hihats, synced live hihat grooves (three recorded tempos – 90 / 120 / 140 BPM)

Features:

– Simple and intuitive mix interface
– Eight interchangeable “baked-in” mix presets
– Repetition sampling for all hi-hats/toms
– Live eighth-note hi-hat grooves recorded at 90 / 120 / 140 BPM that sync to your DAW’s tempo

Waverunner Audio Rosehip Vibes KONTAKT

Waverunner Audio Rosehip Vibes KONTAKT

Waverunner Audio Rosehip Vibes KONTAKT

To present a unique take on a familiar sound, we worked with vibraphonist Alexander Gagatsis to distill the intimate velvet tones found at the softest of dynamics of his vibraphone. To expand on the main instrument patch that includes ‘true tremelo’ control, Alex performed arpeggios and swells, as well as a technique of using the stick end of the beater. Combined with the ‘Seven Days Kontakt engine’ that stacks reverb and delays, it’s easy to create ethereal soundscapes or loop-like experiments, and explore a whole new take on the sound of the vibraphone.

Mic positions:

OMNI – stereo capturing of the studio offering air to the sound
RIBBON – More up close and personal, a beautiful warm, direct sound
X-Y – a more focused second stereo option

FX:

Reverb 1
Reverb 2
Delay 1
Delay 2
Tape
Stereo

Simply click which effect you would like to use and the controls will appear. The stacking of reverb and delay allows easy creation of ethereal and modified soundscapes. Behind the scenes the FX chain is as follows:

Tape – Reverb 1 – Delay 1 – Delay 2 – Reverb 2 – Stereo – Limiter

Controlling levels:

Stacking reverbs and delays can quickly add up and increase the volume significantly, so be sure to keep an eye on levels to avoid any distorted sounds coming through. To help control levels when you feel like cranking things up, the ‘limiter’ toggle is available on all screens. The limiter can also be used as a creative tool when an over-driven crushed sound is desired. Simple turn the limiter on and crank the ‘verb and delay mixes up, and also try cranking the warmth and gain in the tape FX too. This crushed sound is a flavour favourite here at Waverunner Audio.

Articulations:

Vibraphone Main: the velvet vibraphone with true tremolo control, modulating between open and closed valve samples
cc1 for tremolo control / velocity for dynamics

Valves Closed: perform with the valves fully closed. A quieter, softer tone
no cc control / velocity for dynamics

Valves Open: perform with the valves fully open. A brighter, louder tone
no cc control / velocity for dynamics

Swells: performed octave swells, increasing then decreasing in dynamic
no cc control

Arpeggios: major and minor arpeggios
no cc control

Alt Hit: performed with the stick end of the beater for a very bright sound
no cc control

Specifications:

  • 4 articulations
  • Recorded at 96k, presented at 24bit/48k
  • 1.8gb (Kontakt compressed from 4.5gb)
  • Requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.6 +
  • Individually watermarked to you
  • Requires Pulse to download

Fracture Sounds Toy Piano KONTAKT

By | January 2, 2021

Fracture Sounds Toy Piano KONTAKT

Fracture Sounds Toy Piano KONTAKT

The sound of the Toy Piano is produced by hammers striking metal rods (tines), resulting in a unique bell-like tone. The instrument was close mic’d in stereo, in a dry studio, giving you the flexibility to add as much or little reverb as you like.

The original instrument has some natural tuning deviations due to its age. Although this adds a certain charm and authenticity, we know everyone’s tastes are different, so after sampling the instrument we painstakingly optimised the tuning note-by-note. To restore some of these natural tuning deviations, we added the ‘broken tuning’ dial, which allows you to choose how in-tune the instrument sounds. Set it to 0 for a modern/pristine sound for upbeat children’s music, or all the way up to 100 for your creepy Halloween scores.

To further enhance the authenticity and realism of the instrument, we captured the mechanical sounds of the keys being released. These can be dialled in using the ‘Key Clicks’ control.

We’ve once again included an ‘atmosphere layer’, specifically designed for this instrument, which can be blended with the raw Toy Piano to create an eerie ambience. The mod wheel gives you control over the intensity of the layer, allowing you to ride the dynamics and add additional expression. By popular request, we have added the option to solo the atmosphere layer, so you can use it as a pad in isolation, or blend it with other instruments.

Features

  • Traditional upright toy piano.
  • Deep sampled with up to 8 round-robins and release samples.
  • 3-octave playable range (extended from the 2-octave range of the original instrument).
  • Adjustable ‘atmosphere’ sound design layer.
  • Simple and user-friendly interface.
  • 150MB download size (NCW compressed from a 300MB sample pool).

Please note: This product requires the full version of Kontakt 5.3 or above. It will NOT work in the free Kontakt Player.
