If you’re an artist nowadays, you need a way to record your ideas at home. Ableton Live is the perfect tool because you can make beats, record vocals, mix, and perform your music within one program. This course will go over my favorite part of the process, recording your verses.
Unlike most recording courses, this curriculum is written for rappers. Our process is unique, and there’s small tips that I wish someone would’ve told me when I tracked my first bedroom recording in the early 2000s.
Key Topics Include:
Setting up hardware, software, and system preferences
Learn Beat Making in Reaper Beatmaking, Drum Programming & Music Composition for Hip-Hop & Rap TUTORIAL
In this course, you are going to learn how to make beats in Reaper. Reaper is not only a affordable Digital Audio Workstation, but it can also be used for free without any restrictions. Can you imagine having a professional and powerful DAW at your hands without having to spend anything? Now you can not only imagine, but you also have a course to guide you inside the software.
We will start by creating a template to have a better workflow and mimic some features from FL Studio. After that, we will dive into the world of melodies and I will teach you how to layer different instruments to achieve a pro level sound. This is not a music theory course, but I will show you practical and useful tips to create melodies, harmonies, countermelodies and other elements without any music theory requirements.
Then, I will show you how to create a professional beat on top of the melody we developed during the course.
Finally, you will learn how to arrange your beats to keep the interest of the listener across the entire track.
Project Description
When you are ready, download the course files, follow the steps that you learned during the lessons and develop your own beat from scratch.

This is the 2020 Collection; it may be a familiar name to those who have seen cookups and streams from Southside, PVLACE, CashMoneyAP, E-Trou, FrancisGotHeat, and many other producers within Internet Money and 808 Mafia. I sent it directly to them.
I made this kit in 2019 out of my own unreleased drums as well as drums from all of my kits at the time (Eros 2020 and everything that was released prior.) It was supposed to be a demo kit for sound design clients, If they liked it they’d commission me to either ghost design their public kits (stuff on splice mostly) and make them private drums that no one else would have. (As a side note I’ve ghost designed 3 kits that hit #1 on the splice top packs list.)
Funnily enough many clients used this kit more than anything and I guess it really just hits the perfect combination of variety and simplicity due to how it’s organized;
1,401 Drums Total (over 200 unreleased, 1,200 made from scratch from my 2019-2020 kits)

Field recorders in hand, musicians, producers, and sound artists Krishna Jhaveri and Sanaya Ardeshir (aka Sandunes) spent 30 days traveling through South India to capture the land’s sounds. From South Goa through Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, they drove through farms, plantations, and forests in search of sonic signatures of the remaining wild spaces they could access.
Through this expedition, they stumbled upon a collection of soundscapes bursting with life—mating rituals, alarm calls, and circadian rhythms of a plethora of Indian species in their natural habitats. The result was this inspiring set of audible rhythms, melodies, and textures—all markers of the thriving biodiversity of the region.
Jhaveri and Ardeshir also teamed up with music producer, Parimal Shais who documents and samples traditional South Indian instruments. Shais recorded a variety of traditional horns, drums, percussion, strings, and voice to capture and represent the human element amidst the naturally occurring sounds in this pack. This collection is intended to serve as a way to connect with the nature that is thriving and start a conversation about the environment and hopefully inspire climate action.
