How To Write Raps & Freestyle Effortlessly TUTORIAL

How To Write Raps & Freestyle Effortlessly TUTORIAL

What Is Included In This Course
I will teach you what I’ve learned in the past 10 years about making rap songs. You will be shown how to find inspiration to start your songs and write consistently. I will give a full 75 minute demonstration of writing a song front to back, with verses and choruses. A full “off-the-dome” freestyle demonstration will also be given, along with tips on how to start and improve your freestyling. Also, I will uncover how I was able to kill off writer’s block and complete a challenge I set for myself to write 1000 songs in only 1000 days. You will also be provided with a free eBook detailing what I learned from completing this challenge.

We will discuss finding your own unique style and how to be influenced by your idols without sounding too much like them. I will cover the importance of your song’s impact on your intended audience and why it may matter even more so than your execution. Also covered will be how to avoid procrastination and to surround yourself with like-minded individuals who will help hold you to a higher standard in terms of your artistry. Provided will be questions you should be asking yourself to see if your song is really finished and ready to be recorded.

I’ll show you why quantity is actually BETTER than quality when it comes to pumping out new song ideas. Staying on beat, flow, and breath control will all be defined for you. If you prefer to learn offline to avoid distractions, I have given all my students the option to download my lecture videos. At the end of the course, I will provide you with free song ideas for you to get started making your own rap songs right away!

Whether you want to make music just for the love of it, or one day have it paying all your bills, I think this course can help any beginner or intermediate emcee improve their skills and confidence to pursue their passion. Hip Hop has been a passion of mine since I started in 2010 and if you haven’t begun this journey or have taken a break from it, this is your chance to start or start anew.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to write a full rap song
  • How to freestyle “off-the-dome”
  • How to defeat writer’s block

IsoRhythm Music Metaphysical Sample Pack WAV

Metaphysical is a collection of samples I made during the creation of several tracks of my own and is also perhaps the most futuristic hybrid of the isorhythm sample libraries. The sounds included were created using everything from modular synthesizers to cellos, to piccolo snares, to 5-gallon plastic buckets. All recorded immaculately with Heritage 1073 style preamps and Neumann microphones. A litany of guitar pedals and outboard FX. As usual, a large of amount of DSP was used to process the recordings into sounds you hear within.

Multiton Bits World Pop Bits WAV

Multiton Bits World Pop Bits WAV

Popular music producers have always been in the past, and some are still today, digging through world music heritage in search for lively elements and unique melodies to use in their work, on the quest of finding that perfect catchy moment! We used this method to create our interpretations of these moments. We went once more through world music compositions we like, from southern east to the northern west, using them as a source of inspiration. We created something new, a homage to great Pop tracks that often subtly incorporate world sounds in modern production.

Lush synths, big warm basses, catchy guitars, new age sounding pads and unexpected rhythms, we played it and mixed it all wanting to make a stylish combination of beautiful and emotional world music melodies and modern synth-based production. Besides in Pop and Synth Pop, these sounds can be used practically in any kind of music production as they feature classic design of synth sounds, suitable for many styles.

Beside Loops we have also included versions with tails, so you can easily make transitions in your tracks. All loops and one-shots are clearly labeled, including notes and sound descriptions. We fell in love with some old favorites again and found some new ones during preparation for this pack and we hope you will find it inspirational and joyful too!

Contains:

  • 60 one shots
  • 91 loops

Truefire TrueFire’s The Road to Rock TUTORIAL

Truefire TrueFire's The Road to Rock TUTORIAL

 The Road to Rock TUTORIAL

Blues and Country Styles in Rock Playing
The Road to Rock is a collection of TrueFire lessons curated by Guitar World Tech Editor Paul Riario. Paul’s selection of lessons from top TrueFire educators is designed to help turn you from player to pro with a smattering of spiced-up rock styles that borrow heavily from blues and country.

”There is no rock without its inextricable connection to blues and country music. TrueFire has done an exceptional job at putting together some of the best instructors to teach this and the concepts behind it. Which is why I’m including and curating some select lessons from three instructors — Andy Wood, Corey Congilio, and Chris Buono — who are not only good friends of mine, but I’ve also watched them emerge from being merely clinicians to bona-fide artists and world-class guitarists. So, consider it a huge bonus they are found here at TrueFire to teach you their incendiary techniques and unique styles in a clear and comprehensible manner.

Andy Wood’s Shapeshifter lessons clearly explain two Pentatonic concepts unlocking a plethora of fretboard knowledge on how to advance your soloing and visualize the fretboard. He uses his idea of “connective tissue” to shift your way across the fingerboard for seamless soloing. There’s so much approachable information here to easily become a more fluid player.

If you’re looking to go from just an ordinary picker to a dominant master of the technique, Andy’s Alternate Picking and Cross Picking lessons show you how to get there. His one exercise demonstrated in “Alternate Picking” on how you need to practice your picking will inspire you to become better. Spoiler Alert: you really have to work at it.

In the Adding Rock Flavor lessons, Andy touches on two very important concepts in playing rock: muting and speed. And surprisingly, Andy lumps speed as somewhat of the least important to master, but focusing more on muting and being a precise and clean player. Speed will become an eventual and easy byproduct of your mastery of these essential techniques.

In addition, Andy demonstrates three styles — blues, country and rock — within the same progression so you can hear and see how closely they’re all related, as well as showing how a player might approach each style. What’s great is he highlights each style’s accents and inflections for adding flavor to your playing.

Corey Congilio’s Hip Blues: Outside Lines course features a lesson titled Dom7 Arps: ii V I. In this lesson, Corey outlines the use of simple arpeggios in a slick 12-bar blues progression where you begin to see how arpeggios are connected to the chord outline, and then hear how you can walk through the chord changes using this pattern of arpeggios. A deeper concept for sure, but one that opens up a creative avenue to explore.

I’ve selected several lessons from Corey’s Solo Factory: Jam Craft course: Shook Ya, Keefy, Crying Wind, Ed-Fluenced, Knew a Bit and Pick a Little.

Here, Corey truncates some familiar licks that mimic guitar licks found in famous songs that pretty much nail every essential rock move that most players use. What’s even better, after you’ve mastered these bite-sized licks, Corey incorporates them in a bunch of performance lessons later on in the video so you can see and hear how they work in the context of a song.

In Mixing Licks and Scales, Corey breaks down two very common major and minor scale concepts so you know how to connect them and more importantly, hear where to use them. Literally, a simple flight plan to get you off and soloing in no time.

Who doesn’t love “legato” playing? It’s one of the most quintessential moves in rock playing, and by far the smoothest way to refine your soloing and rhythmic technique. In Chris Buono’s Legato lesson, he breaks it down for you in some easy examples to more sophisticated uses of the style.

This Level 4 example and breakdown is actually a great finger exercise to get your digits flying. Pretty soon, legato will be another part of your guitar vocabulary.”

Who better than the top editors of our cherished guitar magazines to lend their eyes, ears and guitar acumen to help guide how we put our precious practice time to optimal use? Thanks Paul!

You’ll get standard notation and tabs for all of the performance studies. Plus, you’ll be able to use TrueFire’s learning tools to sync the tab and notation to the video lesson.

You can also loop or slow down the videos so that you can work with the lessons at your own pace. All of the backing tracks are also included to work with on your own.

Grab your guitar and let’s dig in with Guitar World Tech Editor Paul Riario’s curated collection of TrueFire lessons!

We’ve always been about one thing when it comes to samples and patches – how usable they are. You’re a producer, so you know you don’t need more ‘impressive’ stuff that sounds cool but doesn’t work in your tracks. You need the tools you’re going to reach for when in the middle of a creative frenzy.

So we were thrilled when Vincent AKA Virtual Light (Zero1 Music), fresh from his set on the Ozora main stage, approached us with a big bag of the Serum presets he’s been building and developing for his tracks. Some of them are all singing and dancing, and some of them are bold in their simplicity – these are the twisted elements and psychedelic details that Vincent calls on in the studio. And we’re thrilled to finally give you access to them.

We even had to persuade Vince to give a few of them up (you can thank us later)!

Sounds amazing! What do I get:

  • 100 Serum patches expertly designed by Virtual Light
  • 57 Custom Psytrance-optimised wavetables
  • Signature Macro control throughout
  • Out soon: free bonus expansion, straight to your email

More on Virtual Light: 2019 marks Canadian artist Virtual Light’s twentieth year in the Psytrance game. His powerful psychedelic sound, mature and intricately artistic, has ripped dancefloors to shreds across every continent, with highlights including mainstage sets at Ozora, Mo:dem, Universo Parallelo and Vortex. He’s collaborated with artists such as Fungus Funk, Ninesense, Circus Bent, Module Virus, Primordial Ooze, Kabayun, Random, Chromatone and K.I.M.
