Orange Tree Samples Evolution Bluegrass Banjo v1.2.5 KONTAKT
We are pleased to present Evolution Bluegrass Banjo, an extensively sampled fingerpicked banjo library. The banjo we sampled for the library provides a sweet, clear bell tone, with plenty of body to its sound as well. The library’s tone is quite versatile, able to provide an elegant, pure sustain, but also an immediate, powerful attack for adding drive to your song when the need arises. This banjo is no stranger to a plucky, gritty sound either, which can be achieved through its louder dynamics, playing closer to the bridge, or harnessing the available built-in effect options.
Evolution Bluegrass Banjo is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a wealth of appointments: an innovative strumming pattern editor, automatic chord detection, and a robust built-in effects engine. If you’ve used any of our guitar or bass libraries that use the Evolution engine, its interface and workflow will be very familiar to you. The library includes many factory presets for ready-to-use classic and modern banjo tones that fit right into the mix.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the banjo.
For the sampling session, Guy Randle recorded the versatile multi-instrumentalist Ryan Tilby. Known for his broad palette of sounds and styles, Ryan Tilby has performed at Telluride, Merlefest, FanFest, RockyGrass, and countless other festivals throughout the United States, as well as having toured Europe multiple times. His music has been featured on Duck Dynasty, the Discovery Channel, and on Outdoor Photo Adventures. Ryan Tilby also offers remote recording services for clients around the world needing guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, and ukulele tracks.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Django Jazz v1.2.5 KONTAKT
Evolution Django Jazz recreates the sound of virtuoso guitarist Django Reinhardt, pioneer of the Romani jazz style that emerged in Paris in the 1930s. The working musicians at the time didn’t realize that they were purveying more than just jazz. In fact, the resulting style of music would eventually become recognized as its own subgenre due to its unique qualities. One of these distinctives was Django’s iconic guitar tone and agile, expressive playing, which are practically synonymous with the musical style.
The guitar we recorded for the sample library is a meticulous recreation of Django’s own Selmer 503 acoustic guitar. Constructed by a master luthier, the replica was built to the exact specifications of the original and includes details such as the zero fret, omitted bottom brace, and other intricacies of Django’s guitar that contribute to his unique tone.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the guitar. Evolution Django Jazz includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Rubber Bridge v1.2.5 KONTAKT
Since the late 2010s, rubber bridge guitars have been multiplying throughout indie rock music, even making notable appearances in pop music. Although people have been using various approaches throughout history to give guitars a more muted sound, the concept of using a rubber bridge is thanks to Reuben Cox, luthier and owner of Old Style Guitar Shop in Los Angeles, California. His unique addition of a rubber bridge tastefully dampens the guitar’s sustain, giving notes a prominent/plucky attack with a swift, yet pure, decay.
Due to the naturally quiet volume of these guitars, which are commonly smaller sized parlor guitars, a high output pickup is typically installed for amplification. Part of the rubber bridge guitar’s magical sound comes from the duality between the pristine, crisp acoustic sound of the instrument and the rich, beefy pickup signal.
Evolution Rubber Bridge was recorded using a nearly century-old parlor guitar, converted into a rubber bridge guitar and fitted with a classic Tokyo-style gold foil pickup. The pickup and stereo mic signals were recorded separately so that you can blend between the warm, punchy sound of the pickup and the crisp, pure mic signal. Evolution Rubber Bridge was recorded with the guitar tuned down a whole step from standard tuning, giving it a deeper tone and naturally lower playable range.
Evolution Rubber Bridge includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal.
Evolution Rubber Bridge is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a wealth of appointments: an innovative strumming pattern editor, automatic chord detection, and a comprehensive collection of built-in effects for adding the final polish to the guitar tone. If you’ve used any of our guitar or bass libraries that use the Evolution engine, its interface and workflow will be very familiar to you.
The library includes many ready-to-use factory presets for a variety of guitar tones. Some presets focus on the acoustic side of the guitar, with pristine, clean tones, while other presets take advantage of the electric component of the guitar, running its pickup signal out a guitar cabinet, sometimes with spring reverb or even distortion added.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Vintage Violin Bass v1.2.5 KONTAKT
Who knew that a short scale, violin-shaped electric bass would become the foundational bass tone for a majority of the Beatles’ catalog? With its snappy attack and mellow sustain, this little bass delivers all the low frequency content you need for the backbone of your music as well as the rich-sounding sustain necessary for melodic, memorable bass lines. Speaking of melodic, there’s also a slight “bloom” to its sustain, probably due to its hollow construction rather than having a solid body like most electric basses. Even though it’s unquestionably an electric bass, this characteristic lends a subtle acoustic-like quality to the shape of the notes.
Evolution Vintage Violin Bass captures this highly coveted sound with the usual high level of detail you’ve come to expect from our Evolution series. The library covers both picked as well as fingerstyle playing, with open and partially muted combinations of both, among other articulations. We recorded the neck and bridge pickup signals separately, giving you control over their blend for an additional dimension of tonal flexibility. The neck pickup delivers a warm, fat low end, while the bridge pickup adds brightness and definition.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the bass. Evolution Vintage Violin Bass includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal.
Evolution Vintage Violin Bass is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a wealth of appointments: a flexible mapping system, customization over the instrument’s settings and playability, and a comprehensive collection of built-in effects for adding the final polish to the bass tone. If you’ve used any of our guitar or bass libraries that use the Evolution engine, its interface and workflow will be very familiar to you.
The library includes many ready-to-use factory presets for a variety of bass tones, many of which take inspiration from the classics that originally made the bass famous.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Rick 12 v1.2.5 KONTAKT
Evolution Rick 12 captures the iconic jangle of a 12-string electric guitar. We sampled a pristine vintage model, sporting a semi-hollow maple body, rosewood fretboard, and classic high-gain pickups.
We developed this library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporates analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the guitar. While we’ve provided the as-is direct signal of the guitar, we also included an enhanced signal of the guitar as well. Being the default setting, we recommend using this enhanced signal, which increases the richness and sustain of the guitar.
For the sampling session, Guy Randle brought in the versatile and accomplished guitarist Michael Dowdle. Michael Dowdle has an impressive musical history. His session guitar work includes recording for artists such as Marie Osmond, The Osmond Brothers, John Schneider, David Archuleta, and The Jets as well performing on numerous movie and TV scores. He has also played on stage with artists like Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, The Coasters, Sam Cardon, and countless others.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Jumbo 12 v1.2.5 KONTAKT
We are pleased to present Evolution Jumbo 12, the long awaited 12-string acoustic addition to our Evolution guitar series, recorded from a Taylor 355. This guitar sports a silky high end, yet an ample amount of body in the lows and mids–undoubtedly the result of it being a larger sized guitar. Mixed prominently, Evolution Jumbo 12 can cut through the mix with its crisp, bright tone. Played at a feathery-soft dynamic, it adds an exquisite shimmer to your arrangement.
