Tamuz’s Soul Sessions Vol. 4 sample pack is the long-awaited fourth chapter from the “Soul Sessions” sample library and features over 600 sounds built entirely around live drum recordings. Captured through reel-to-reel tape and vintage microphones, these sounds offer the natural tone and feel of real instruments played in a room with minimal processing and pure analog warmth.
Sample Pack Features:
228 Vintage royalty free drum breaks inspired by the seventies, from the deep pocket of Bernard Purdie and James Gadson to the smooth grooves of The Temptations, Earth, Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. Each break blends funk, R&B, and soul with vintage percussion textures.
180 One shots recorded through multiple drum kits including a 1970s Made in Japan kit, a Ludwig MIJ kit, and other rare pieces from Tamuz’s collection, each with its own character from warm and round to gritty and saturated.
46 Hat loops recorded live to inspire rhythm and flow.
120 Melodic one shots with sounds from a vintage Wurlitzer, organ, P Bass, 1970s Greco guitar, acoustic and nylon guitars, and classic analog synths.
41 Percussion loops performed with vintage percussion instruments for added texture and rhythmic depth.
Tamuz recorded these drums and samples using vintage gear to capture the authentic feel of 70’s recordings. The drums were mixed to feel alive in any session, ready to drop into your beats straight out of the box.
When a script calls for a detective’s sidearm, a squad’s service rifle, or the gun a criminal actually carries, most libraries hand you gunfire sorted by caliber, with no sense of who would use it or why. TACTICAL GUNS starts from a different premise: every one of its 25 weapons is carried by police, issued to armies, or used by criminals. One purchase covers a police procedural, a military scene, and a criminal underworld sequence, each one built from the actual weapons those characters would carry, with matched handling recorded for almost every one.
Carried. Issued. Stolen.
Every weapon in TACTICAL GUNS is one carried by police, issued to armies, or used by criminals. That’s the reason each weapon made the list, not caliber or category alone.
Matched Handling, Weapon by Weapon
Almost every weapon ships with its own recorded handling: grab, mag change, safety, reload. That’s the sound before the shot, the detail that makes a character read as competent, or desperate, before they ever fire.
Twenty-Eight Channels, Multiple Distances
Every shot is captured across up to 28 channels, from point-blank out to 100 meters, delivered across eight named perspectives. Cut between an interior take and a rooftop vantage point using material actually recorded for that perspective.
Built for Any Production Pipeline
UCS-tagged metadata keeps every weapon and fire mode addressable across DAWs, video editors, and game engines alike. For tactical and law-enforcement titles specifically, individual shots stay triggerable for event-driven, physics-based systems.
Close, Distant, Heavy, and Mechanical Mixes
The Designed layer contains 850+ pre-assembled sequences per weapon category (assault rifles, machine guns, pistols, rifles, shotguns, and submachine guns), each mixed as Close, Distant, Heavy, and Mechanical variants across single shots, bursts, and full auto.
Built From the Same Construction Kit Elements
Every Designed sequence is built from the same shot and handling recordings available in the Construction Kit, not separately produced, so the mixes reflect the same weapons and the same recorded detail throughout the library.
441 Mono Noir is a focused exploration of what a single microphone can do. Every sound was recorded using the Sennheiser MD 441, a German-made dynamic mic from the early 1970s, known for its tight pickup pattern, strong midrange, and controlled low end. The pack shows how much depth, punch, and texture can be pulled from one mic when pushed in different directions.
Using one microphone as the sole source, the sounds remain consistent and focused. Kicks are solid and forward, snares tight and crisp, side sticks cut clean, and hats carry grit and crunch. Brushes, sticks, and varied articulations capture different dynamics, while some sounds were run through a 1976 Pioneer reel-to-reel tape machine or shaped with EQ, compression, and reverb. You’ll find mix variations from raw and direct to processed and saturated—all from the same microphone.
The pack includes 200 drum breaks with multiple textures and mix variations, plus one shots covering kicks, snares, hats, fills, percussion, and cymbals. There are also 32 hat loops and 23 layered percussion loops. Everything in 441 Mononoir is 100% royalty free.

A real-time Rhythmic Variator™. 600 analog percussion sources across two independent layers, recombined as they play. Percussion in the now.
You know the feeling.
A couple of bars in, that drum loop already sounds stale. And like everyone else’s. Because it is. Same packs, same loops, variation baked in before you ever touched it. Programming it yourself is no better: hours of round robins and velocity lanes to imitate what a performance does on its own.
That’s creativity in reverse.
Envoy works forward.
The Cadence Engine recombines sources and reshapes sequences as they play, so the groove keeps moving without landing the same way twice. Spontaneous, alive, and you control how much or how little every step moves.
Variation that never overwrites your work.
Turn it on and the sequence evolves continuously, on a percentage you set, per mode, per block and per parameter. Turn it off and your original pattern returns untouched.
Randomize the last block of a phrase, or arm all four blocks for continuous evolution.
Two layers. Three clocks.
Two layers, each four blocks of one to eight steps on its own rate, plus the Master LFO on a third — three independent clocks.
Each layer runs its own sequencer rate, and the Master LFO runs a third, on its own division. Lock the layers together and they sit in the grid. Set them apart and they cycle against each other for bars on end.
Rates run from four bars to 1/128. Each layer runs four blocks in sequence, each holding one to eight steps. The rate sets the block’s duration, so step count subdivides time instead of stretching it.
Five parameters, every step.
Five parameters on every step: velocity, pitch, pan, length, and low-pass or high-pass filter.
Velocity, Pitch, Length, Pan and a per-step LP/HP filter, each drawn independently across up to 32 steps, and each independently randomizable.
The filter becomes part of the rhythm rather than a static setting.
Morph both layers in one gesture.
The crossfade matrix sits on an infinity curve, with an independent volume orb per layer. Link it to the mod wheel to sweep from one layer to the other while you play.
One Master LFO drives the whole signal path, so you can ride a complete modulation scheme from a single depth control.
One engine, four keyboard workflows.
Envoy ships as four NKI patches. The patch sets how the two layers map to your keyboard; every Cadence Engine control stays the same.
Works with Kontakt FULL or Kontakt Player v8.1.0 or later!
Indie dance is where house music got its personality back. Adam Ten and Mita Gami turned their Maccabi House sound into a full-on movement, a psychedelic, funk-leaning take on house with a Middle Eastern twist, and artists like Brunello are pushing it further on labels like Mellow Circus, Crosstown Rebels, and Diynamic.
It’s warmer and more organic than tech house, and brighter and more playful than the dark end of the underground: hypnotic grooves, live-feeling percussion, deep filtered basslines, worldly textures, and that signature bit of dissonant tension that keeps you slightly off balance.
Indie Dance Vol. 1 is built around exactly that sound. 50 Serum 2 presets and 50 matching MIDI files dialed in for warm analog basses, gliding vibrato leads, hypnotic pads, bit-crushed plucks, and percussive stabs that sit right in the pocket.
Every preset comes preloaded with a MIDI clip using Serum 2’s new clip preview feature, so you can hear how each one sounds right from the browser.
French house music is a subgenre of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in the late 1990s and became particularly influential in the global music scene. It is characterized by its distinct blend of funky, disco-influenced rhythms and melodies with modern electronic production techniques. Here are some key features of the French house music style:
1. Disco and Funk Influences: French house draws heavily from the disco and funk music of the 1970s and 1980s. It often incorporates catchy basslines, groovy rhythms, and samples from classic disco tracks.
2. Filtered Effects: One of the signature elements of French house is the use of filter effects, particularly the “French touch” filter, which involves applying filters to the music to create a distinctive sound with a “wah-wah” or “swooshing” effect.
3. Sampling: Producers of French house often sample old disco and funk records, chopping and reimagining these samples to create new and exciting tracks. This technique adds a nostalgic yet fresh feel to the music.
4. Vocals: French house tracks often feature chopped and manipulated vocal samples, adding a vocal element that contributes to the overall catchy and danceable quality of the music.
5. Pioneering Artists: French house gained international recognition through the work of artists such as Daft Punk, Stardust (a collaboration between Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk and Alan Braxe), and Cassius. These artists played a significant role in popularizing the genre.
6. Global Impact: The French house sound had a profound impact on the global electronic music scene and helped shape the evolution of EDM. It was particularly influential in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
7. Contemporary Relevance: While the peak of French house’s popularity was in the late ’90s and early 2000s, the genre continues to influence contemporary electronic music. Producers and DJs around the world still draw inspiration from its distinctive sound.
Overall, French house is known for its funky, disco-inspired grooves and its ability to get people on the dance floor. It remains a beloved subgenre within the broader electronic music landscape.
The Art of Sampling
In this session, We’ll explore 2 main approches to sampling disco and funk records:
Audio Editing directly on the Arrangement View (Keyboard Shortcuts, Glitching, Resampling, Stretching Warp Modes and more)
Using a Sampler to chop the sample (Slicing, Filtering, Converting to Drum Rack, Creating B sections and much more)
House Selector Kit
Selector Kits are a way to load multiple samples on one pad and cycle between them using a Macro. It’s the best way to choose sounds in context and to quickly build a drum beat.
The House Selector kit is using samples from the Build and Drop live pack which is included in Ableton Suite.
The rack also included built-in FX like bus processing, rhythmic delay and distortion.
Don’t forget to save the rack from the French House Ableton Project.
Groovy Basslines
One of the key characteristic elements of French House is the funky baseline that is inspired by the old disco/funk/soul records. We’ll explore techniques on how to use the original baselines of the sample and/or adding our own synth bass.
Custom French House Bass Instrument Rack
Included with the downloads is a custom production-ready layered Instrument rack, highly customizable and great sounding French Bass preset.
Arpeggiated Synth Guitar Melodies
Included in the session a custom Instrument Rack for that legendary synth guitar sound which can be found in Daft Punk – Aerodynamics.

Call & Response Generator
An exclusive Max for Live device!
Call / Response Generator creates two connected MIDI phrases: a call and a response derived from it.
Choose how the answer relates to the original phrase—echo it, invert it, transpose it, simplify it, extend it or break away at the end. Lock the ideas that work, reroll everything else and write the finished result directly into an Ableton Live clip.
It is especially at home creating acid basslines, techno sequences, house hooks and short melodic riffs.
Drums Lofier
Originally from the Lofi Hip Hop workshop we use this rack on the group of drums (excluding the kick) to get a vintage 90’s vibe. This Audio Effect Rack features a collection of effects aimed at deteriorating the sound of drums to a point where it sounds directly out of the 90’s drum machines sound. The main effects used were filtering, EQing, Distorting and Compressing.
Side Brain’s 909 & 808 Drum Racks (Inside the Template)
2 custom drum rack kits wiith full processing and Macro controls. Use as is for fat modern 909 and 808 drum machines or use as a starting point with Live’s sound similarity feature like we do in class.
Basswave House Bass Instrument Rack
Included in these session is a custom Wavetable Instrument Rack that is inspired by the classic Polysix preset Fat Line that is perfect for bass support basslines for house and dance tracks.
