Convert Piano Midi To Professional Audio Recordings [TUTORIAL]
In this course, you will learn how to convert piano MIDI files into professional quality audio recordings using software and samples. The required software you will need includes a DAW, a Sampler VST Plugin, and Music Samples. The DAW I’m currently using is Cubase by Steinberg on a Mac.
There are others available, but for this lesson I will be teaching you how to do this using Cubase Elements which currently retails for around a hundred dollars US, but there are free options available instead including Cubase LE and a bunch of others. Just make sure that it can do VST plugins. The Sampler VST plugin that I’m currently using is Kontakt Player by Native Instruments, which is a free download. Make sure you get Kontakt Player version 6.7.1 or higher. The music samples I’m using is CinePiano by CineSamples. CinePiano is a Concert Grand Piano that was sampled at the MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. This is what I’ll be using in this lesson, but many other piano samples exist as well. Free samples are also available, but the quality will not be so great. Just make sure they work with Kontakt Player.
