Rubicon Glitch Tapestries WAV
Rubicon label manager Tristan Arp returns to sound design duties for the first time since last year’s Polymorphic Perc, diving deep into glitched tones and mangled audio. Glitch music has its origins in the 90s, with producers like Oval who experimented with skipping CDs, but its roots can be traced to musique concrète’s mid-century tape music techniques.
On Glitch Tapestries, original samples sourced from guitar, strings, piano and modular synth performances are re-synthesized and scrambled into new, rhythmelodic forms. In addition to traditional loops and one shots, the pack contains freeform phrases which function over any tempo or meter. Weave an element of chance into your music with Glitch Tapestries.
